Basanta Kumar Jena Head of Department

A warm welcome to the department of Mechanical Engineering at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology. The department offers a three-year Diploma Program in Mechanical Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students, affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).

Our department is proud of its team of dedicated, experienced, and highly qualified faculty members who promote a teaching methodology that blends theoretical knowledge with practical application. The curriculum is carefully designed to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and is supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure.

We emphasize experiential learning through industry collaborations, internships, workshops, and project-based activities. As part of the MSBTE curriculum, students complete a 12-week industrial internship to gain hands-on experience with real-world engineering practices.

Students are also encouraged to take part in various inter- and intra-institutional events, consistently earning recognition in both academic and co-curricular fields. Our alumni hold esteemed positions in organizations such as the APWD, Electricity Department, Transport Department, Municipal Council, Directorate of Shipping Services, Police Department, multinational companies, defense services, and academic institutions across India and abroad.

Finally, our technical support staff stands out for their commitment and sense of responsibility. Both students and parents appreciate their friendly and responsive nature.

Thanks for visit.
