Celebration of National space day in association with ISRO in the institutes auditorium
Prof. (Dr.) Sanmukh Kaur, Principal of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology addressed the National Space Day celebrations organized by the ISRO Centre for Telemetry, Tracking and Control, Srivijayapuram. She outlined India’s Space Vision – Amrit Kaal, which aims to establish the Bharatiya Antariksha Station by 2035, achieve a crewed lunar mission by 2040, develop the Next Generation Launch Vehicle by 2032, and undertake major missions such as Chandrayaan-4 in 2027 and the Venus Orbiter in 2028. Prof. Kaur traced the evolution of satellite communication from Arthur C. Clarke’s 1945 concept to India’s current achievements with the INSAT system and modern navigation systems such as GAGAN and NAVIC. She emphasized that these advancements will expand India’s role in the global space economy.
