Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) hosted a Gender Sensitization Session under the PM–USHA scheme in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, focusing on promoting gender equality and inclusivity.

Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) hosted a Gender Sensitization Session under the PM–USHA scheme in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, focusing on promoting gender equality and inclusivity. Dr. (Prof.) Sanmukh Kaur underscored the pivotal role of education in dismantling gender stereotypes. Dr. S. Raji, HoD (I/c) of Civil Engineering and PM–USHA Coordinator, welcomed the gathering and emphasized fostering respect and dismantling stereotypes among young learners. Speakers including Dr. Nitu Sindhu, State Mission Coordinator, and Smti. Hemlatha, Gender Specialist, highlighted the need for collective efforts—especially involving men and boys—to cultivate safe, gender-neutral spaces. The interactive session saw enthusiastic student participation, reinforcing the importance of challenging biases and fostering respect. The event, coordinated by Smti. S. Aishwarya, Lecturer (SS) in Civil Engineering and Gender Sensitization & IKS Coordinator, concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sharboni Mallick, acknowledging the support of collaborators and participants.
