Tribal Youths from Nancowry on Educational Exposure Tour

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) welcomed a group of 20 tribal youths from Nancowry Island on September 11, 2025, as part of an Educational and Cultural Exposure Tour organized by the Department of Tribal Welfare. The visit was held under the programme “Connecting Rural Students Through Technology (CONRUSTT),” designed to bridge the gap between rural students and modern technological advancements. During the tour, the visiting students were introduced to DBRAIT’s academic programmes and the wide range of opportunities available in technical education. They explored various laboratories, attended a fashion designing exhibition, and engaged in interactive sessions at the Language Lab and automobile section. The sessions provided them with valuable insights into courses, skill development, and career prospects. Senior students of DBRAIT guided the group across the campus, showcasing the institute’s infrastructure, advanced equipment, and live projects developed by alumni. The exposure offered the visiting youths a firsthand experience of modern technical education and its potential to shape their future.
